Trauma impacts the way we see ourselves, other people, and the world. Trauma may result in experiences of low self-esteem, elicit difficult emotions such as guilt & shame, and present challenges in relationships, work, and other aspects of life.
In therapy, it is my goal to provide an inclusive and safe space where we can work collaboratively on your therapy goals. I believe that therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in our sessions I’ll provide you with practical skills and tools tailored toward your needs and preferences. I am committed to providing quality care and using evidence-based therapies including; Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
I consider myself to be an empathetic and compassionate person, and together we can work on how to best support you in therapy. Making the decision to start therapy can be difficult and takes a lot of courage. It is my priority to hold space for you; to feel safe, heard and understood.
I have experience working in a mental health and addictions hospital supporting individuals living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance use disorders (SUD). My areas of speciality include trauma & PTSD, mood & anxiety disorders, stress, coping skills, and interpersonal challenges.
